Seney Trail Report – 02/17
SENEY AREA UPDATE via Seney Snowmobile Association – 02/17 We have gotten a lot of messages and emails. Do we have enough snow to ride why aren’t you grooming. We have around 6 inches in Seney. We won’t be sending the groomers out until we get more snow. We will do more damage than good at this point. Remember everyone we have no base. As soon as we break through the snow all we will do is mix more dirt with the snow we got. There might be more snow to the north in the lake effect areas. Wish we had better news. Believe us we feel your pain. Light snow will accompany the front but generally less than an inch is expected. Behind the front temperatures will fall into the single digits above and below zero. This combined with gusty winds will bring wind chills down into the teens and twenties below zero. A Cold Weather Advisory is in effect for Gogebic and Iron counties tonight through Saturday morning. Lake effect snow will develop behind the front in the northwest wind snowbelts with several inches expected.
