When they closed the doctors offices last night because of conditions then we woke to about 6 inches of snow on top of ice, Chris decided to stay home. He spent 5 hours plowing then we went for a ride. We took 9 to Pine Stump and back and it was an amazing ride minus the sleeping child riding with me! We passed the groomer on the way there and on the way back! The picture of our backs is actually from the TASA page! Hey – it’s a family picture! 😂

NEWBERRY AREA UPDATE via TASA Tahquamenon Area Snowmobile Association >> Trail 9 10:28PM Just about to the Sceny turn, wasn't so bad till I got north of Windy Corners, gotta scrape pretty well with the blade, but I noticed a little defect while out checking the tires. Shot pics to Chad, we discussed, gonna use it but keep an eye it. 26⁰ not really alot of snow above our frozen base to plat with. 3 TASA Groomers out taking care of all of you for a great start Friday,. Going to send this with 3 pics now, hope it works, keep you posted. 😁 1:32am Just turned around at Holland Lake, 48.4 miles hangin out at 26⁰ most the night. Both Grand Marais and Seney have been through recently. Have to use the blade to knock the snot outta most of it, turning out pretty good so far, no change on our Crack 😊 Headed to Pine Stump, then south. Keep you posted. 5:44am Back to Windy Corners intersection. Had to dig pretty deep in quite a few Corners, busts up the chunky snow, again, still broken suger cube stuff, froze and thawed several times now, dont believe it will set up well and a porous flat surface. Blending it all together on the way back. #newberry #snowphotos... See MoreSee Less

WEATHER UPDATE via Michigan Storm Chasers >> Good morning everyone. Michigan is going to showcase all seasons for today, March 26th, 2026. ... #miweather #keweenaw#westernup#marquette#munising #seney #newberry #soo #gaylord#cadillac#benzie#traversecity#petoskeyGood morning everyone. Michigan is going to showcase all seasons for today, March 26th, 2026. If you're heading north of M-55, a wintry mix will greet you. Snow totals of an inch, perhaps more will be possible, and a snow map will be out in a bit to showcase totals on a statewide basis. Meanwhile, summer is here temporarily as showers and storms move in by late afternoon south of Grand Rapids and Flint. High temperatures will be in the 60s, and even low-70s, especially south of I-94. More warmth means more fuel for storms though, so on a day like today, you should be rooting against warmer high temperatures to avoid severe weather. Speaking of temperatures, just an insane gradient from north to south. High temperatures in the low-20s for the Keweenaw Peninsula, while areas just south of the Michigan state line jump to near 80°F. Precipitation will start early up north, while southern Michigan doesn't start seeing shower activity until afternoon. More details to come in a bit on our severe weather, but the peak timing along and south of I-94 for severe weather will be after 3 pm EDT. Main severe weather hazard today will be very large hail, so it's probably a good idea to protect your valuables today if you're in the southern two rows of counties, just out of an abundance of caution. Bare with us today, it's a lot of information, but we've got you covered from beginning to end.
If you're new to Michigan Storm Chasers, follow us on Facebook, YouTube, X, or Twitch TV, for live severe weather coverage once the first warning is issued in the state.
