WEATHER UPDATE via Pictured Rocks Marine Weather Conditions >> OK, here's the latest! Shown below is the expected 24-hour snowfall accumulation from 7pm today through 7pm Friday, along with the 24-hour snowfall from 7am Saturday through 7am Sunday. The 12-hour "gap" in between those two periods is the lull between the two waves of snow, when not much is expected to happen. And the snowmelt from the warm spell today should largely have ceased by then. More snow is also expected after 7am on Sunday and even into Monday, but it's a bit too early to call the snow amounts for that time period. Winter will not succumb to our brief warm spell! #miweather #keweenaw #westernup #marquette #munising #seney #newberry #soo #straitsarea #gaylord #cadillac #benzie #traversecity #petoskey ... MUNISING AREA UPDATE via TNT Trenary Northern Trails >> A picture says a thousand words! Thank you Steve, Dean, and Brandon for getting your hands dirty with this 3 day repair marathon! Of course all of the parts didn’t come in for the front axle pivot, but we had enough parts to get us by until we get another window for a proper repair. With temps hovering in the low 30’s and the trail holding up amazingly well, we will probably hold off grooming until the temperature drops Friday. That will give us time to recover from working our normal jobs all day and putting in even more hours in the shop. I couldn’t be prouder of our team for doing what needs to be done, when it needs to be done! Ride right and ride safe! #munising#snowphotosA picture says a thousand words! WEATHER UPDATE via US National Weather Service Marquette Michigan >> Today, the morning fog and freezing drizzle will give way to a quiet but warmer than normal day. Fog returns tonight, though the weather remains quiet until a system passes south of the UP Thursday afternoon, bringing a wintry mix of rain, freezing rain, and snow to the UP, though the heaviest rain will fall along the Lake Michigan shores. Once this round of precip wraps up Friday afternoon, attention then turns to the potential for weekend snowfall, though plenty of scenarios are still possible, so those with weekend plans sensitive to winter weather should monitor the forecast. #miweather #keweenaw#westernup#marquette#munising #seney #newberry #soo #straitsareaToday, the morning fog and freezing drizzle will give way to a quiet but warmer than normal day.
