Munising Area Trail Report – 02/22

TRAIL REPORT February 22, 2022

TOOK A BEATING BUT RECOVERING!

Trails are in an overall good condition with this past high traffic extended weekend hitting them hard. Operators have had their work cut out for them cutting some rather large moguls in areas. Trail 418 and Trail 417 are next in line to get cleaned up. We did get the Bully back up and running for last night and put it to much needed work on Trail 422. Operators are doing what they can with the tools at hand as we anxiously await the return of our Big John Deere. Get out and enjoy the trails and Stay Tuned for updates!

MUNISING AREA UPDATE via TNT Trenary Northern Trails –

Last night’s groom went really well, the fresh snow is helping the trail out greatly. This week now as you may already know, we could see a lot more snow, up to 18" on the trail. We will groom when it is safe to get out. So if you go out and its a bit rough, we are keeping our operators safe, and one of us will be out when it is safe again. There may be drifting on the trail with this next storm, so keep that in mind if you go out on the trail. Here are a couple of pics from last night’s groom. Ride right, and be safe out there.

Michigan Snowmobile Trail Report

WEATHER UPDATE via US National Weather Service Marquette Michigan >> Widespread snow will begin to spread west to east this morning while a heavier snowband looks to set up in the central UP this afternoon. Uncertainty still remains where this snowband will park, however, heavy snowfall rates will likely create difficult travel along US-41 from Delta to Marquette/Alger counties. Tonight, widespread snow transitions to lake effect snow for the north wind snowbelts.

Traverse City Trail Report – 02/21

TRAVERSE CITY AREA UPDATE via Grand Traverse Area Snowmobile Club – 2/21

Trail Report: 02-21-2022
We just can’t catch a break! I thought the 5 or so inches of snow last week was going to get us back on track. Then, the balmy 45 degree temperatures on Sunday all but did the trails in. They have more ice and dirt on them now than snow. If that isn’t bad enough, they just issued an Ice Storm Warning for the area until Wednesday at midnight for a 1/4 to a 1/2 inch of ice. Again, we just can’t catch a break. I will update again when we get some measurable snow to report on.

TRAVERSE CITY AREA UPDATE via Ranch Rudolf >> 1/8/26 Weekend and Weather Update:
The sun is so pretty, but conditions are certainly not ideal. Still a decent amount of snow in the woods. Temps in the mid 40s today make it feel and look like Spring. Driveway and trails are still more covered than not, but lots of ice and puddles. Will have to wait and see if it really rains tmrw or not.
On Friday we will travel downstate to celebrate the life of Uncle Dave with family and friends. Lori and Anna will be holding down the fort here, and although this weather doesn’t really warrant us being open, Lori will be here making soups and chili midday, so feel free to stop in for a bowl of chili or a drink if you catch her.
We plan to be open noon to 4pm Saturday 1/10. If rain further deteriorates things this could impact our hours and we will update here if so. We are waiting to see what the weather brings before knowing about Sunday. Stay tuned.
Beau and Knox have winter hayride availability again starting next weekend. 231-947-9529 for reservations.
Horse Camp families be watching your emails 👀 …Barn Buddies Camp letters were sent today with the rest to follow. #traversecity #snowphotos1/8/26 Weekend and Weather Update:
