TRAVERSE CITY AREA UPDATE via Ranch Rudolf >> 01/08
1/8/26 Weekend and Weather Update:
The sun is so pretty, but conditions are certainly not ideal. Still a decent amount of snow in the woods. Temps in the mid 40s today make it feel and look like Spring. Driveway and trails are still more covered than not, but lots of ice and puddles. Will have to wait and see if it really rains tmrw or not.
On Friday we will travel downstate to celebrate the life of Uncle Dave with family and friends. Lori and Anna will be holding down the fort here, and although this weather doesn’t really warrant us being open, Lori will be here making soups and chili midday, so feel free to stop in for a bowl of chili or a drink if you catch her.
We plan to be open noon to 4pm Saturday 1/10. If rain further deteriorates things this could impact our hours and we will update here if so. We are waiting to see what the weather brings before knowing about Sunday. Stay tuned.
Beau and Knox have winter hayride availability again starting next weekend. 231-947-9529 for reservations.
Horse Camp families be watching your emails 👀 …Barn Buddies Camp letters were sent today with the rest to follow.

So we have some Good, Bad and Ugly going on here in Traverse City.
The Good – the trails are holding up considering the weather we’ve been having.
The Bad- at the time of this post, the temperature is 46 degrees.
The Ugly, we are forecasted for a half inch of rain this evening into tomorrow morning.
Saturday, the temperature shifts and we have some snow in the forecast so keep doing those snow dances.

WEATHER UPDATE via Pictured Rocks Marine Weather Conditions >> OK, here's the latest! Shown below is the expected 24-hour snowfall accumulation from 7pm today through 7pm Friday, along with the 24-hour snowfall from 7am Saturday through 7am Sunday. The 12-hour "gap" in between those two periods is the lull between the two waves of snow, when not much is expected to happen. And the snowmelt from the warm spell today should largely have ceased by then. More snow is also expected after 7am on Sunday and even into Monday, but it's a bit too early to call the snow amounts for that time period. Winter will not succumb to our brief warm spell! #miweather #keweenaw #westernup #marquette #munising #seney #newberry #soo #straitsarea #gaylord #cadillac #benzie #traversecity #petoskey ...
