Harbor Springs Trail Report – 01/10
HARBOR SPRINGS AREA UPDATE via Harbor Springs Snowmobile Club >> 01/10 We had two groomers head out around 1am when them temps finally got cold enough, they were able to groom the grade (trail 7) from Pellston to Mackinaw, and the west side of our trail system except for the cross village loop. There are a lot of water holes on the trails due to the rain and warm temps earlier this week but overall the trails held up nicely, the grade in front of the Pellston airport is down to gravel but there’s plenty of snow along the side of the trail in that area. We have one groomer heading out tonight to do the east side of our trail system, still waiting to hear if we have a second to run the grade. It’s still too warm for grooming but the temps are heading in the right direction. We have an operator heading out around 2am to hit as many trails as he can, and then groomers lined up on the grade & east side of the trail system for tomorrow night. Trail 7 (railroad grade) is opened back up for the weekend! They will be closing it again on Monday for a short period but after that they will be done. We do have snow on the way tomorrow & Sunday.
