ONTONAGON AREA UPDATE via Hamilton’s North Coast Adventures >> 01/10 Trails remain EPIC! INCREDIBLE snow pack and great sled clubs continue to make trails beyond amazing! We spent 7 hours this morning out doing the lord’s work cutting them bumps down from Ontonagon to Rockland to White Pine. Come ride!! Temps are perfect for winter adventures! This is the second take, I thought it was Sunday… 🙃 Anyways… GO PACK GO!! <> <> ONTONAGON AREA UPDATE via North Country Snowmobile Club UP >> 01/10 TRAIL REPORT: We groomed Trails 137, 101 and 13, Trail 12 from Potato Farm Rd to White Pine, and Trail 1 from Trail 12 to Lake of the Clouds. All trails are in surprisingly good condition except Trail 1 along Lake Superior which has a thin, snurty ice base. Lake effect snow showers are expected in the northwest wind snowbelts, especially over the eastern U.P. where 1 to 3 inches of snowfall is expected. WEATHER UPDATE via US National Weather Service Marquette Michigan >> Strong westerly winds develop this afternoon and evening, with winds gusting up to 60 mph in the Keweenaw and 45 mph for the remainder of the northern UP near the Superior shoreline. Damaging winds could blow down trees and power lines. Power outages are possible. Travel could be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. IRONWOOD - WESTERN U.P. UPDATE via Gogebic Range Trail Authority - ORV & Snowmobile Club >> Can you believe it’s almost the end of February!? Let’s hope March riding will be just as epic as the last 3 months! We have one machine finishing much needed maintenance and the tractor threw error codes last night, so we couldn't take her out. Cody groomed Trail 13, 137, 101 and Trail 12 between Potato Farm Road and the NCSC clubhouse in Ontonagon.

Trail's are in excellent shape! Temp's were right around zero tonight, looking like a brief warmup on Friday then temp's look to be perfect all next week..
