GRAND MARAIS UPDATE via Grand Marais Outfitters – 2/25
From Tim this morning-Hit the West trail (#8/89/43) with Dick W.; doing his last training run at 5:30am. Trail was in impeccable shape to the split at 88. Forging onwards down 89 conditions deteriorated due to high heavy use. Upon reaching Mahoney lake cut at Navis lake moguls were heavy. Hopefully those that pasted afterwards enjoyed our time and efforts. Drive safe. Picture from log slide trail, stop and enjoy the view.

Around 4 inches of snow last night. I see the groomers all made it out. I would guess the trails should freeze up flat now.
I would imagine it will be lower traffic during the week. It would be a pretty good week to ride if you can sneak away! #newberry #snowphotos
WEATHER UPDATE via US National Weather Service Marquette Michigan >> Quieter weather settles in across the U.P. today as lingering snow showers tapering off this morning. A weak clipper system will bring another round of light snow tonight, but only expect another inch or so of accumulation in most locations. WEATHER UPDATE via US National Weather Service Marquette Michigan >> Widespread snow will begin to spread west to east this morning while a heavier snowband looks to set up in the central UP this afternoon. Uncertainty still remains where this snowband will park, however, heavy snowfall rates will likely create difficult travel along US-41 from Delta to Marquette/Alger counties. Tonight, widespread snow transitions to lake effect snow for the north wind snowbelts.
