GRAND MARAIS UPDATE via Grand Marais Sno-Trails Assoc. – 01/09

Unfortunately nothing has changed here in regards to snow amounts or trail conditions. It’s been a fairly warm week (low to mid 30s) Groomers haven’t been out and won’t go out until we get more snow which isn’t predicted until later next week. It was fairly busy between Christmas and New Years so what snow we did have is most likely pretty bad. Sorry folks. We just keep hoping Mother Nature figures out it’s time for snow.

WEATHER UPDATE via US National Weather Service Marquette Michigan - Slow moving system will bring the region some snow today. It doesn't look like ‘the big one', but we should still get a few inches of wet snow. The best spots will be close to the WI/MI stateline and west of Marquette into the Michigamme Highlands. Places near the lakeshores could see some rain mix in with the snow. Tonight, light snow will continue.... #MIWeather #westernup #keweenaw #Marquette #munising #newberrySlow moving system will bring the region some snow today. WEATHER UPDATE via US National Weather Service Marquette Michigan - Unfortunately for snow-lovers, forecast snow amounts for this week's storm are trending down. Light snow is still expected to move in from the south late tonight and continue Friday, but it will be light and intermittent with only minimal accumulations expected. Unless there’s a huge turnaround, this winter could be the last straw for me. Sell all but one of my five machines and just fully switch everything to dirt toys. I have way too much time and money wrapped up into these flipping sleds to get 4 to 6 weeks a year out of them. I try not to get pissed about things that are out of my control but what a joke.

WEATHER UPDATE via US National Weather Service Marquette Michigan - Above normal temperatures continues today with interior locations approaching 40 degrees for highs. But winter returns late tomorrow. By tomorrow evening, snow will be moving in. While this does not look like a big storm, it will be enough snow to make for difficult travel Thursday night and Friday morning over the western and central U.P.... #MIWeather #westernup #keweenaw #Marquette #munising #newberry #Soo ...
