GRAND MARAIS AREA UPDATE via Grand Marais Sno-Trails Assoc. >> 01/17
UPDATE: We have been grooming every day and the trails have been holding up pretty good. I just jumped in a groomer to see if we could groom with the current temps. It was not good. It is too warm, so unfortunately we have to hold of until the temps drop and the snow starts to set up. We will update as soon as we get back grooming the trails. Ride safe!!

Around 4 inches of snow last night. I see the groomers all made it out. I would guess the trails should freeze up flat now.
I would imagine it will be lower traffic during the week. It would be a pretty good week to ride if you can sneak away! #newberry #snowphotos
WEATHER UPDATE via US National Weather Service Marquette Michigan >> Quieter weather settles in across the U.P. today as lingering snow showers tapering off this morning. A weak clipper system will bring another round of light snow tonight, but only expect another inch or so of accumulation in most locations. WEATHER UPDATE via US National Weather Service Marquette Michigan >> Widespread snow will begin to spread west to east this morning while a heavier snowband looks to set up in the central UP this afternoon. Uncertainty still remains where this snowband will park, however, heavy snowfall rates will likely create difficult travel along US-41 from Delta to Marquette/Alger counties. Tonight, widespread snow transitions to lake effect snow for the north wind snowbelts.
