CADILLAC AREA UPDATE via Coyote Crossing Resort >> Thanks to all who came by Coyote yesterday! To our staff who handled the busy crowd, & Lew Finch who manned the bonfire & Corral! The groomers are going out today to try to repair damages from heavy traffic, and trying not to disturb the minimal base too much. • Our dinner special will be Abigail’s homemade lasagna!! You won’t want to miss it

WEATHER UPDATE via US National Weather Service Gaylord Michigan >> Accumulating snow will continue to spread across northern Michigan today into Sunday. Accumulations remain consistent to this mornings forecast with 3-6” for most of the area and localized 7”+ possible where heaviest snow falls this evening and tonight. The combination of snow covered roads and reduced visibility will lead to hazardous travel across parts of the area. #miweather #gaylord #cadillac #benzie #traversecity #petoskey #soo #newberryAccumulating snow will continue to spread across northern Michigan today into Sunday. WEATHER UPDATE via Pictured Rocks Marine Weather Conditions >> Here's the updated 24-hour snowfall forecast through 7am Sunday (top figure) compared to the same forecast from two days ago (bottom figure). No big changes for the UP, although a bit more snow is now forecast for the Keweenaw and central UP. Winter is coming back, and trail base has held up surprisingly well! Our early season snows and panning have paid off, as most all trails are showing no dirt. 3-6″ of snow is expected in the next 24 hours, and it’s snowing lightly now. With this fresh snow, riding can resume in our area and hopefully grooming efforts will restart soon... #cadillac

And the snowmelt from the warm spell today should largely have ceased by then.
