Baldwin Area Trail Report – 01/21

BALDWIN AREA UPDATE via Trailriders Snowmobile Club >> 01/21

1/21 update: We are finally getting up and back to grooming. With several inches of snow throughout most of our trail system. 3 of our tractors were out today with the exception of the Newaygo tractor as snow is still too thin down there. Please keep up your ❄️ dances. It looks like a good clipper with lake enhancement, is coming in tomorrow with 4-6” forecasted throughout our system! Our whole trail system should be in good shape for our open house on Saturday!

Please join us at our clubhouse beginning at noon, more details are available in our events and in previous posts. Please reach out with any questions.

Harbor Springs Area Trail Report – 01/21

HARBOR SPRINGS AREA UPDATE via Harbor Springs Snowmobile Club – 01/21

It’s been a snowy, windy, & cold start to the week but it’s just what we needed! Groomer Dale is out rolling the grade tonight (Trail 7) & overall conditions are good. The snow gets thinner north of Carp Lake and is drifting in the open areas but that’s to be expected. We have two groomers headed out tomorrow night to hit the rest of our trails.

WEATHER UPDATE via US National Weather Service Gaylord Michigan >> A major winter storm will continue to impact northern Michigan, bringing dangerous travel conditions to much of the area. Heavy snow and strong winds gusting to 45-55+ mph are expected to create localized blizzard conditions across open areas at times from mid-morning into early afternoon. Drifting snow may make travel especially difficult on secondary roadways. Power outages will also be possible, especially across areas that experienced icing on Sunday. Be sure to use extreme caution if having to travel across northern Michigan today! #miweather #gaylord #cadillac #benzie #traversecity #petoskeyA major winter storm will continue to impact northern Michigan, bringing dangerous travel conditions to much of the area.
