No significant changes. No new snow with trails grooming out nicely and in an overall good to very good condition. Some icy inside corners may develop throughout the day near Christmas and in the hills of Trail 419 closer to Munising. North end of Trail 7 also has icy corners. Trail 418 has some wet/icy areas East of Au Train and gravely areas near and West of Au Train. Bare roads and dirty snow near towns. Keep a close eye on trail conditions as you ride and stay right. MUNISING AREA UPDATE via TNT Trenary Northern Trails – 03/08
Looking at the forecast, we may get through the weekend. Trail groomed out well, but the temps and sun are making everything wet and soft. Welcome to late season conditions. We will groom as long as we can, but we already have dirt starting to show in a couple areas. We don’t have our usual amount of base so the trail won’t last like it usually does. Get out and enjoy it while it lasts!

Mild spring temperatures are softening the trails but they are still in fair condition and people are riding! Groomers are running at night and early in the morning when it’s colder, but trails are becoming wet and are down to dirt in places.

Wet Roads, sunny skies and packy melting snow at 36 degrees. Its now tuesday at noon. Sorry I havent been on here the past few days but as usual condiitions have sucked. While the ground is white here in frederic there is really only a couple inches out there. I did however just watch 3 sleds ride into town so at least they are thinking its good enough to ride. Weather outlook for the week is chance of snow on friday and thats it so I would not expect anytihng exciiting to happen. I havent seen or heard what is happening in the u.p. so I have to catch up on that. Pics below are from out front of sledheads at about noon. FREDERIC - GAYLORD AREA UPDATE via Sledheads of Frederic , Michigan Snowmobiling >> been trying to get onto my frederic page and cant do it, its now 4 on thursday, rode yesterday to gaylord, then vienna corners back to lovells and then frederic for a great 80 miles. Had loader here again today, sleds downtown grayling at the restaurant, winter campers in back yard of sledheads, yummy burger at vienna loader really stacked it up this time. hope to get my other page going again, dont know wha the deal is, lots of wind and white outs today, supposed to get colder tommorow. Started out riding to Frederic from home and then to Starvation Lake, Alba, Jordan Valley Trail, D & K formally Larrys in Elmira, up the Chandler HIlls trail until I lost the trail right at dark, then a little ditch banging as after i lost the trail I started south and east as I knew I would hit the highway. Came out by Vanderbilt and theh hit the 7 trail back to Gaylord, Waters and Frederic…..Perfect day of riding. Met up with Big John and Speed Bump for Spike burgers about 9 last night.I might go again this afternoon as I am thinking about a burger at Talleys. Supposed to get cold this weekend. Rode to Lovells last night and then home, left home this morning and rode towards Starvation Lake and then down to Frederic, conditions on trails nice and fluffy and smooth. Happy to say that trail 7 south out of Frederic along with trails 47, 679 and 76 all very nice. I rode 26 miles back here to Frederic and came into sledheads to warm up and am heading back out.
