NEWBERRY AREA UPDATE via TASA Tahquamenon Area Snowmobile Association – 12/05
Good morning everyone. Its 22 degrees and snowing here. The North Country has to be near or over 40 inches now. This storm currently is out of the south so hopefully our south trails can start to get dialed in now to. We havent run a groomer down that way yet. Hopefully with this storm we can start working it.
We did run to m Pine Stump a couple of nights ago and ran into alot of downed trees and branches we have been working hard to get cleaned up.
Yesterday we ran 498 and 45 to the 500. 45 has a few water holes near 123 up to the Skyline.
Then at Camp 7 they are logging and its was plowed pretty heavy. Were working with the logging company and hopefully can get it dialed in for the season.

Around 4 inches of snow last night. I see the groomers all made it out. I would guess the trails should freeze up flat now.
I would imagine it will be lower traffic during the week. It would be a pretty good week to ride if you can sneak away! #newberry #snowphotos

WEATHER UPDATE via US National Weather Service Marquette Michigan >> Widespread snow will begin to spread west to east this morning while a heavier snowband looks to set up in the central UP this afternoon. Uncertainty still remains where this snowband will park, however, heavy snowfall rates will likely create difficult travel along US-41 from Delta to Marquette/Alger counties. Tonight, widespread snow transitions to lake effect snow for the north wind snowbelts.
