Trails are shaping up after the meltdown. Groomers have been out and will be until the temps get too high this weekend. Be prepared…. If you come this weekend and it gets as warm as the weather guessers are saying, we wont be out grooming.

MUNISING AREA UPDATE via TNT Trenary Northern Trails >> Groomer operators were checking traffic levels and we had feedback from some drift busters and we will be looking into conditions tomorrow before we pull the trigger on grooming. Conditions are getting more favorable, but the snow isn’t settling fast enough with sleds avoiding the drifts and knocking the air out of them. At 16 thousand pounds, the groomer doesn’t float enough in soft deep snow and we dont have a second machine to self rescue. So bear with us as we constantly monitor and discuss amongst our operators on the earliest optimum time to safely hit the trail. Guaranteed, as soon as we all agree on a green light, you will have a smooth trail! #munising #snowphotos

The exception will be in the northwest wind snowbelts where up to 4” of dry fluffy snow is possible.
