Harbor Springs Trail Report – 02/24

HARBOR SPRINGS AREA UPDATE via Harbor Springs Snowmobile Club – 02/24

This winter has been a rollercoaster to say the least, tons of snow then super warm on repeat. For now we are back to snow! We got about 8-10” between Wednesday night & this morning.
We had all three groomers out last night and the trails look pretty good. The base is solid ice and the snow is fluffy so fingers crossed it holds up.

Ride safe, ride right, & ride sober.

Michigan Snowmobile Trail Report

WEATHER UPDATE via US National Weather Service Gaylord Michigan >> Dangerous wind chills will be widespread today, especially this morning. Wind chills in the 20s below zero; some areas could feel as cold as -30F. This will be dangerous, as frostbite can develop in as little as 30 minutes on exposed skin. Limit time outdoors and dress in layers. Keep a winter weather survival kit in your vehicle in case you get stranded.
Gusty northwest winds plus continued powdery lake effect snow will lead to significant reductions in visibility with whiteouts at times through this afternoon, especially in open areas where snow can easily blow around. Dangerous travel conditions are expected, and wind chills well below zero will be even more problematic if you end up stranded on the road. #miweather #gaylord #cadillac #benzie #traversecity #petoskeyDangerous wind chills will be widespread today, especially this morning. Traverse City Trail Report – 02/24

TRAVERSE CITY AREA UPDATE via Grand Traverse Area Snowmobile Club – 2/24

We received a couple inches of lake effect fluff overnight. All groomers will be heading out this evening, so if your out please keep an eye out for them. We are forecasted to get 1-3 tonight and possibly a storm on Monday so keep your fingers crossed. Get out there and take advantage of it. Remember, Ride Right, Ride Safe and Ride Sober.

TRAVERSE CITY AREA UPDATE via Grand Traverse Area Snowmobile Club – 2/23

Well, we only got about 6-7 inches of snow from the storm. We went out for a ride today and would rate the trails as fair with some poor spots. The recent warm ups left us with ice under the snow. Not sure how long they are going to hold up, we definitely need more snow. Remember to Ride Right, Ride Safe, Ride Sober.
