It’s a perfect winter morning. Snow crunching below your feet at every step. It was minus 8 when I left home and got to minus 12 on my way here this morning.

Talked to a friend who had -18. No new snow over night. There were about ten sleds at the gas station when I got here and I have been told somebody already rolled one in the ditch across from the station this morning. Motels in Grayling are jammed and riders had the air filled with 2 stroke smoke as they had their sleds warming up.

A few of the pics from the motel lots this morning and they were all full, Motel 72 had 13 trailers which fills that place up, days inn 16 and the ramada had 35 plus a ton of jeeps there that hopefully stay off the sled trails. As I went by Fays Motel with their no vacancy sign on the grayling groomer was pulling out of their lot. So I am certain we are off to a busy day in Frederic. Please Ride Safely. It’s a cool but sunny morning in Frederic.

First thing I saw on the trail this morning near my house were 3 deer running down the trail.

Our 3 day Winter Storm Warning really didn’t give us much snow. It was minus 1 this morning and is supposed to be a nice low temp weekend. All trails and crossings I looked at this morning looked nice and white and I think they will stay that way with the cold temps.

Lot of trailers already in town with 22 at the Ramada and 8 at the Days Inn. I have to say I am surprised I still didn’t book anyone into our cottage this weekend so if you still thinking of looking for a place please remember me.

Quite a few sleds around town yesterday and the Darkside Adventures boys stopped by warming up for their trip coming up at the end of the month. They are heading off to the Gaspe Pennisula in Quebec which is way north of Maine. You can follow along on their website this year. I always enjoy following those guys, I only wish I could ride with them some day.
