HARBOR SPRINGS AREA UPDATE via Harbor Springs Snowmobile Club – 02/07
We had extremely high winds yesterday late afternoon & into the night. If your out riding today please watch out for down trees, branches, & drifts. We had one groomer out early this morning to take care of this major hazard on the Alanson trail and will have all three groomers back out tonight.
If your out riding and come across any trees / branches and you can move them we would appreciate the help. If you cannot please send us a message or a text so we can prioritize those areas this evening.

WEATHER UPDATE via US National Weather Service Gaylord Michigan >> Light lake effect snow showers will taper off this morning, leaving partly to mostly cloudy skies in place across northern Michigan today with highs in the mid to upper 20s. Just a couple weeks ago it was lake effect snow every single day. Today, a light band of 1-3" near Munising is all we will need to write home about. We even tossed in some humor for those not in a designated snowfall zone. A couple slick spots will pop up along M-28 near Munising, and perhaps around Petoskey if a longer lake effect band happens to form, but this is more unlikely than likely.

Josh groomed 76 to 765 then to trail 7 the railroad grade. From there he went to Weber Lake on 765 and 76. Then groomed 76 back to Chandler Hill Road. #petoskey #snowphotos

Overall the trails are in good shape but we really need some fresh snow. Warmer temperatures are on the way for this weekend which will really take a toll on the conditions & the ability to groom.
