KEWEENAW PENINSULA UPDATE via Western UP Trail Reports >> 02/10 10 February 2026 I’m being bombarded with questions about the warm up coming this weekend. So let me explain my honest but might not be accurate trail report Every year we get a warm up for a few days. Mid 30’s and low 40’s will definitely make it a little sloppy and most likely moguled up by Sunday. My guess is that we will pause grooming during this time and it’s going to get rough. By Wednesday night into Thursday the temps will drop and we can possibly resume grooming but it’ll take a couple day’s to fix the mess. Lake effect snow showers and gusty winds could lead to some rapidly changing visibility on the roads through tonight, especially close to Lake Superior and in the Keweenaw.
