Just a couple weeks ago it was lake effect snow every single day. Today, a light band of 1-3" near Munising is all we will need to write home about. We even tossed in some humor for those not in a designated snowfall zone. A couple slick spots will pop up along M-28 near Munising, and perhaps around Petoskey if a longer lake effect band happens to form, but this is more unlikely than likely. Just had a group of guys in that rode down from Gaylord and their trail report was not encouraging as they said it was rough. We really havent had any new snow in a week and I am not thrilled with the weather forcast thru next tuesday showing 30s and even a 40 in that time frame. Most all of the snow that we have is well worn now. My supplier is pretty much back ordered on many items that I need. I tried to get 20 different items and all but 4 of them are on back order. Carbides especially have been back ordered since early december. Here we are almost half way thru Feb and we should be in our prime time right now. I wish I had better to tell you.
