HARBOR SPRINGS AREA UPDATE via Harbor Springs Snowmobile Club – 02/14
All three groomers were out last night & the trails were in great shape!! Unfortunately we did come across a section on trail 71, Big Pine headed east towards the groomer barn is being logged. The loggers have been crossing over & leaving brush in our trail. They also have not put out any signs!! We have gotten ahold of our DNR contact regarding this as this is posing a huge danger to riders. Please use caution in that area!!

WEATHER UPDATE via Michigan Storm Chasers >> We know you'll pass by this post for snowfall today, but here on February 12th, 2026, it's quite a reflective moment to see just how far we have come this winter. Just a couple weeks ago it was lake effect snow every single day. Today, a light band of 1-3" near Munising is all we will need to write home about. We even tossed in some humor for those not in a designated snowfall zone. A couple slick spots will pop up along M-28 near Munising, and perhaps around Petoskey if a longer lake effect band happens to form, but this is more unlikely than likely.

Josh groomed 76 to 765 then to trail 7 the railroad grade. From there he went to Weber Lake on 765 and 76. Then groomed 76 back to Chandler Hill Road. #petoskey #snowphotos

Overall the trails are in good shape but we really need some fresh snow. Warmer temperatures are on the way for this weekend which will really take a toll on the conditions & the ability to groom.
