MUNISING AREA UPDATE via Alger County SORVA – 2/8

TRAIL REPORT – Saturday 02-08-2020
NICE RIDING CONDITIONS
Overall trail conditions are very good with exception of parts of Trail 419. Trails are grooming nice but will not set a hard ribbon with rough conditions returning quicker than usual. We are down a machine with the Deere working non-stop and Trenary Northern Trails helping us on the West end. Part of Trail 419 is inaccessible by our running groomer and will not be groomed until the Bully is operational. We would also like to give appreciation for Tanglewood Sponsoring the moving of the bully into our groomer building. Enjoy the Trails and Ride Safe! MUNISING AREA UPDATE via TNT Trenary Northern Trails – 2/8

Operator Gary made the full east run last night and I switched with him in Chatham to finish our west side and make a full groom for Alger SORVA on 417, 418, and 8 to the Autrain Lake road. New snow helped conditions a bit. This is the first weekend with cold and fresh snow in a while. Was able to cut out a lot of the damage on 417 and a lot of the banked corners. We will continue to support Alger SORVA as much as we can while their Bully is getting repaired. Let’s hope for more snow!

Munising Area Trail Report – 02/07

MUNISING AREA UPDATE via TNT Trenary Northern Trails – 2/7

Operator Craig went out last night and pulled our trail and did some grooming for Alger SORVA on 417, 418, 7, and 8 while their Pisten Bully is down. Some new lake effect snow tonight is going to help mix with the old snow. Still have a smooth hard base so trails should hold up well over the weekend. Groomer is out toight with a split run on our full trail and a double groom assist to Alger SORVA to get the trail in shape for the weekend. Alger SORVA and Trenary Northern Trails work together to give you the best riding experience possible! Together we achieve more! Ride right and ride safe!

MUNISING AREA UPDATE via Alger County SORVA – 2/7

TRAIL REPORT – Friday, 02-07-2020
GOOD RIDING – SUCCESSFUL MACHINE RECOVERY
Overall trail conditions are good. Keeping conditions at “good” because the snow is getting tired, trails are flat but snow is sugary in areas. We are down a machine with the Deere trying to cover 101 miles. Fortunately Trenary Northern Trails is doing what they can to help us on the West end. We will continue to groom and do our best with what we have. Yesterday we had a successful recovery of the Bully thanks to help from Trenary Northern Trails and the DNR, also our Tanglewood sponsored unloading help at the groomer barn. We will post a full story on that involved process later. Keep the cold weather snow dancing going, Enjoy the Trails and Ride Safe!
