Michigan Snowmobile Trail Report

WEATHER UPDATE via US National Weather Service Marquette Michigan - With meteorological summer underway, here’s a look back at how the 2020-2021 snowfall season stacked up across the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. The snow season certainly didn’t stack up to U.P. standards as snowfall ranged from roughly 20 to as much as around 80 inches below the long term average. The greatest departures occurred in some areas within the Lake Superior snowbelts. The last winter that had a poor snow showing on par with what occurred this past winter was 2011-2012. You can view past snow seasons back to 2002-2003 at www.weather.gov/mqt/seasonsnowfallmaps #miweather #keweenaw #westernup #marquette #munising #seney #newberry #soo ... See MoreSee Less

ONTONAGON AREA UPDATE via North Country Snowmobile Club UP - The season is over. I was hopeful that we would get a storm before April 1st, but the forecast doesn't look good for snow. We had a tough season with low snow, and break downs, but managed to groom about 10,000 miles.
A big thanks to groomer Greg Dye, Jason Pragacz, President Groomer Mikey Olsen, Mac and PJ, and Kristin. These are 6 people that wear many hats and do everything it takes to operate this club.
A huge thank you to the landowners, our sponsors, and members. We couldn't do it without your support... #ontonagon #westernup

10,000 miles is still a lot of miles to groom at 10mph. I’m sure it’s not the norm for you, but I’d say that’s still not bad considering the year it was. Good job.

6 people away from having no club really. Scary.

Thank you !!

Thanks so much for all you do 👊
