Paradise Area Trail Report – 01/21
PARADISE AREA UPDATE via Paradise Area Night Riders www.paradiseareanightriders.org >> 01/21 1/21/26 5 degrees this morning with a light snow in the air. Its been REALLY cold UP here the last few days and we picked up 6-8" of snow and with some places a foot plus since Monday!! Lots of news….most good…..one not so good….so lets go…. Lets start with the good. We really needed Mother Nature to cooperate and she has! Lots of snow and cold to help us get these low areas froze in. We took 2 machines w/o drags thru the swamp south of town yesterday. It is ALMOST passable. We are gonna give it a day to freeze and run it again and then should be able to open the gates. The rest of trail #8 south is good. After that swamp run yesterday Groomer Mike C. took a machine with drag for the first time this year and ran the Falls trail #45. He rated it as good….FINALLY!!!! That headache gone! Just be careful and don`t go flying thru, there still is a few wet spots but Grand Pa and Grand Ma on a 2 up sled will have no problem. We are gonna run the Stump trail and the Point trails today. The Stump is in good shape but the Point trails still have a bit of water in a couple spots. We should be able to remedy that today. Now the bad news…..we had a machine go down yesterday… figures…. right when everything was looking great. We have called the mechanic to look up the codes cause they weren`t in the book we have. Keeping our fingers crossed it ain`t serious.
