Pretty darn good would be an understatement for a first snow. Only had 8 sleds ride in the shop here yesterday but there were plenty buzzing around town all day with everyone reporting decent trails. All the pics below are from yesterday the 12th so judge for yourself.
BigJohn called me about ten last night and he was still out riding, he got in 69 miles so thats a good start to the season. I still do not think this is going to last but the people that are out there now are enjoying it. When I got here there were 2 vehicles stuck in my park n ride lot and they shouldnt have pulled in there till I had a chance to plow but I got it plowed and by the time I was done with the lot there were five more truck and trailers pulling in. I dont mind people parking back there but I do take donations for plowing…….
Also I have a sign on the front door saying mask required and for the most part everybody is great about it but then there are the people that think they dont need to wear one. I turned several away yesterday. The safety of my self and my customers is most important to me instead of making a sale. A couple were pretty rude like FU to me and another one called me pussy…..Really nice to see how the best in people come out……I will continue to turn people away if they think a simple thing like wearing a mask is a little to much…..Thanks for checking in and please ride safely. Pete

CADILLAC WINTER PROMOTIONS –
December 11th, 2020
Well here it is upon us, The First Snow Accumulation of the Season !!! At present. the trails are damp un-frozen sand (it’s soft in spots) but the deer hunters have it packed in pretty good. The storm is forecasted to dump some rain first, which may cause some puddling before it changes to snow. as the temperature drops, and as the “wet” snow accumulates, it may make for some slushy conditions. The temperature is expected to stay well below freezing for the next 10 days. All that being said, the base for this season may well be setting in with all this. The trails will be established by what “WE The Rider” leave behind. It is gonna freeze in for a bit at least, with no above freezing temps in the forecast. If “You The Rider” wish to navigate the trails early, PLEASE Be courteous to the conditions and don’t put it to the bars from a dead stop or use the throttle to see how deep it is. We can’t groom until the trails are packed in with ample snow cover. To the norm, we generally don’t start grooming till mid January. We have been servicing our equipment and the fuel is on the ready! So now the waiting game begins. As a reminder, DNR Requires 4″ to be present for the trails to be open!!! BE SAFE! Stay Right!
