January 23, 2024 – 10:15 a.m.
Trails are still in fair shape, but you may start seeing some bare patches in spots. Temperatures are supposed to warm up this week and we’ll keep you posted on how this affects the trails. Check back for updates and trail conditions.
Please remember that groomers have the right of way and kindly move off the trail so they can safely proceed. If you approach a groomer from behind, the operator will signal when it’s safe for you to pass. Groomers are here to make your ride more enjoyable so please be courteous!

Squishy snow, not what we want to feel and its supposed to continue on the uphill temps for the next couple of days. Its 11:30 on tuesday and up to 27 right now, Light snow flakes in the air. There were some sleds out and about yesterday and still reporting o.k.. riding. Snirt is showing more and more. I see there are two sleds over at the Swamp right now. It looks like I am going to pass on riding this week. Lets hope some cold weather comes back. I brought my plow truck in the back room to let it thaw out. The old thing has pushed alot of snow in the past week or so.I am going to take the same angle parking lot picture each morning to see how it looks. Compare todays to yesterdays. Locally higher amounts will be possible. An additional 4-8” is expected across parts of northwest lower and eastern upper by Wednesday evening with localized higher amounts possible. WEATHER UPDATE via 9&10 News >> Lake effect snow will create some headaches in the traditional snowbelt areas over the next 24-28 hours.
-Winter Storm Warnings for counties shaded in pink and Winter Weather Advisories for counties in blueish/purple until 7pm Wednesday.
-Some areas could see 9-12"+ in Antrim, Otsego, Crawford & Kalkaska Counties. Same for areas of Luce & Chippewa Counties. Winds could be gusting upwards of 40mph blowing and drifting the fresh snow.
