Ironwood Trail Report – Gogebic Range Trail Authority – 03/23

160 water hazards and there are 3 stretches of road to run that will be tough if you can’t ride up on the banks. It was cold yesterday and most hazards froze up hard last night. But today they will all break open and really start flowing. Safest rides would be trailering to Wakefield (ski hill reroute road routes are brutal) and riding to Marenisco. The northern end of the trail is gorgeous!!! Ride slowly today conditions will change quickly. Remember Iron county is closed and Vilas County closes tonight at midnight. WHAT A SEASON, THANK YOU GRTA VOLUNTEER GROOMER OPERATORS!!

Grand Marais Trail Report – Grand Marais Sno-Trails Assoc. – 03/23

GRAND MARAIS UPDATE via Grand Marais Sno-Trails Assoc.

Did the Late South run again Fri. night. Groomed trails 443, and 88 East of Hwy. M77. These trails are in decent shape. The colder temps hardened/set up the trails. They groomed up smoothly. You’ll still find pesky moguls at some inside corners. Of course…. I always want to get the corners flatter.🤔 😂 Anyway It was a good night to be out grooming. I got to enjoyed the view of the spectacular super moon and clear skies all night. Saw 3 groups of riders out in the midnight-2am hours enjoying the evening. Picture 1-Trail 443 with the Tucker and the spring super moon; Picture 2-443 turn around spot near the bra tree. Groomer Phil

Groomer Report: Went north tonight. Trails are in pretty good shape. Hardened up a bit from last night. Snow is just crystallized tho so doesn’t want to pack in very good. Still ready for some riddin tho. Stay safe and enjoy. – Groomer Kevin.

Groomed 8 East Friday night. Camera decided not to cooperate again so sorry no pictures. Corners are banked up a bit just east of pull up hill. Flat and very hard other than that and for the most part in real good shape. Groomer Will
