Traverse City Trail Report – Blue Sky Snowmobile Rentals – 01/25

Trails took a lot of rain yesterday. Went for a drive this morning to check everything out, the warm temps have made everything really soft and wet. We have decided for the safety our our rental guests we are not going to open today. Snow in the forecast for tomorrow and temps start to drop as well. Hopefully the trails won’t get to abused today with weekend traffic. If you plan to ride today be aware there will be a lot of “ski stear” and rutted areas along with slushy or water in low areas. This winter has not been good to us far. If you are riding today please use caution and common sense

Some photos from Glenn Rowe’s run yesterday—— taken by Cathy Rowe!

Glenn is out again today, trying his hardest to do something with the sticky mess of snow!

Snowmobile trails are in fair to good condition throughout the Keweenaw. Trails are groomed daily throughout the region. The warmer temperatures may cause some portions of the trail system to become soft.

Valley Sno Drifters trail from Lake Linden to Dreamland Restaurant & Bar is OPEN!
The Portage Lift Bridge is open to snowmobile traffic.
Trail 133 is closed for logging.
Trail 3 from Dollar Bay to Lake Linden and the Freda Trail (south of the Portage Lake Lift Bridge) will be closed the entire season for repair.

Remember when you’re out on the trails to watch out for the groomers. They have the right away.

Please stay on the trails, STAY OFF THE ICE, respect private property, do not drink and drive, and above all else, drive safely. The signs on the trails are there for rider’s safety so please DO NOT remove or destroy them.
