KEWEENAW PENINSULA UPDATE via Keweenaw Snowmobile Club >> 12/16 We continue to work our way through two remaining trails, Trail 133 from Gay to Lac La Belle and Trail 151 into Eagle River. We’ve had the assistance of many volunteers, shout out to everyone that’s come up and helped! The DNR has been assisting as well, huge thanks to them! The Portage Lake Lift Bridge is not open for crossing, but things are looking favorable. We've been busy setting up everything for tomorrow's Backcountry Village big event. Gates will open around 9am, ride out at 2pm, and the the freestyle show at 4pm. Come visit the Western UP Trail Reports booth just to the left of the stage.

Looks like Saturday is going to be the nicest day in the past 2 weeks, 20° and partly cloudy. So if you're coming up this weekend the trails are in very good shape and warmer temps.
