Grand Marais Trail Report – 03/16

GRAND MARAIS UPDATE via Grand Marais Sno-Trails Assoc. – 3/16

From Michael on south run-Corners were banked and lots of moguls. Lots of cutting to make it better but not much snow to work with.

From Jack-Elmer and I did the West Trail. Some sugar snow in places. Trail turned out alright. Along Lake shore to past 12 mile beach it’s getting icy. No pavement showing but hard. Did to town and that stretch is bad at best. We need some fresh snow.

GRAND MARAIS UPDATE via Grand Marais Sno-Trails Assoc. – 3/15

From Phil-Saturday ran 8 East. It was wet and slushy to start. Later in the run it was all sugar snow with plenty of moguls. All in all 8 East is in decent shape. Three riders mentioned trails were in nice shape. Just a little choppy. West run wasn’t done due to lack of drivers!!

From Ted-Tr. 88 /443 , are getting back to normal after a day off . Good trails , holding U.P. well !

Keweenaw Peninsula Trail Report – 03/16

KEWEENAW PENINSULA UPDATE via Keweenaw Trail Reports – 3/16

Love hearing ALL these positive reports of riders that “chanced it” and traveled S❄ far to ride Michigan’s Keweenaw Peninsula this past weekend!

Brian Dennis shared these beautiful photos with us and had this to say, “Despite all this Corona Virus mayhem going on, we had a great few days in the UP! Pics from yesterday Calumet to Lake Linden to Gay to Vansville to Eagle River to High Rock Bay to Lac La Belle back to Trailside in Calumet. All trails were flat, fast and sunny 😎! Thank you groomers once again for making our 9 hour drive from Iowa worth it!”

Thanks for sharing Brian! See you next season!
