We received approximately 8 – 10 inches of fresh snow! Trails are in much better shape and the groomers started to pan! A solid base is needed for grooming and it looks like we’re almost there. Keep THINKING SNOW!

Nice Blustery Windy, Snowy, 7 degrees out there at 11:30 a.m. on a monday morning in Frederic, I cant tell if we have new snow on the ground or if its been falling, Alot of drifting and from all the snow I moved with my plow I have to think we are at about 6 inches. The cold will help with building a base. Lets see what the week brings, pics below are from in front of Frederic Inn about 11 and looking north up old 27 and you can see how wintery it looks. WEATHER UPDATE via US National Weather Service Gaylord Michigan >> Lake effect snow continues tonight through Wednesday with additional accumulations of 4-8" across the snow belts. Locally higher amounts will be possible. An additional 4-8” is expected across parts of northwest lower and eastern upper by Wednesday evening with localized higher amounts possible. WEATHER UPDATE via 9&10 News >> Lake effect snow will create some headaches in the traditional snowbelt areas over the next 24-28 hours.
-Winter Storm Warnings for counties shaded in pink and Winter Weather Advisories for counties in blueish/purple until 7pm Wednesday.
-Some areas could see 9-12"+ in Antrim, Otsego, Crawford & Kalkaska Counties. Same for areas of Luce & Chippewa Counties. Winds could be gusting upwards of 40mph blowing and drifting the fresh snow.
