Gaylord Area Trail Report – 01/19

Gaylord Bureau –

January 19, 2022

Snowmobilers enjoyed riding our groomed trails over the past weekend! Trails are currently in fair condition. There is approximately a 2 inch solid base but we definitely need more of the white stuff. Keep THINKING SNOW!

As always, check back with us for updates and weather reports.

Sledheads of Frederic – 1/18

I woke up excited this morning. What woke me up was the sound of the county snow plow going by my house. I figured that meant we got dumped on over night. I heard it making repeated passes but figured I would just stay in my nice comfy bed……Well after a while I figured I better get up and get ready so I could go out and plow too. I opened the door to see a nice white half inch of fluffy new lake effect snow. I cant even imagine why they sent those trucks out to do that. Its 11 a.m. on tuesday morning in Frederic. 29 degrees and sunny. I guess maybe next sledheads shirt I will do will be just Blah, Blah, Blah……..Also please ride safely, death count is now up to 3 with the newest one happening at Fife Lake, south of Kalkaska…..Thanks for checking in. Pete

Paradise Area Trail Report – 01/19

January 19, 2022

19 degrees this morning and its snowin and blowin! It was doing the same last evening and last night but it is really hard to tell how much snow we got. I`ve got just a couple inches on my deck but can see some pretty big drifts in my parking lot…..lets just say its all good!!!

Groomer Mike H. ran the Point trails yesterday and called them really good. He did skip the far north side of #452 cause it is down to dirt but that should be better now.

We are hittin the South trail #8, Falls trail and the Stump trail all today. With this new snow I should be upgrading everything to really good. I`ll let ya`ll know in tomorrows report. All I have for you today.

LET `ER SNOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Groomer Chris
