Michigan Snowmobile Trail Report

HARBOR SPRINGS AREA UPDATE via Harbor Springs Snowmobile Club >> The snow didn’t disappoint yesterday! We gained back all the snow we lost in the warm up earlier this week plus some!
We had two groomers out last night, the railroad grade (trail 7) was groomed from Van road to Alanson, and all the trails on the East side of the Harbor Barn (717, 71, & 711) were all groomed.
Overall everything is in good shape, the trails were a bit icy yesterday but the added snow should help cover that up. There were a few open water holes behind the Pellston airport last night, temperatures are currently around 19 degrees so hoping those freeze back up quickly.
It’s a great day to get out and ride, stop by one of our sponsors for some lunch or dinner. Beach's Up North Tavern, Clyde's Place, or Moose Jaw Junction. #harborsprings #petoskey #snowphotosThe snow didn’t disappoint yesterday! WEATHER UPDATE via US National Weather Service Gaylord Michigan >> Snow will diminish this morning, ending by early afternoon. Some parts in northeast lower and far eastern upper Michigan may break out into partial sunshine this afternoon. However, north-northwest to northwest winds today will remain brisk. Gusts to around 30 mph will be common. That will produce areas of blowing and drifting snow today, especially in places that are more open and exposed. #miweather #gaylord #cadillac #benzie #traversecity #petoskeySnow will diminish this morning, ending by early afternoon. HARBOR SPRINGS AREA UPDATE via Harbor Springs Snowmobile Club >> We hit record breaking temperatures this morning with 49 degrees in Pellston. It’s still too warm for grooming but the temps are heading in the right direction. We have an operator heading out around 2am to hit as many trails as he can, and then groomers lined up on the grade & east side of the trail system for tomorrow night.
Trail 7 (railroad grade) is opened back up for the weekend! They will be closing it again on Monday for a short period but after that they will be done.
We do have snow on the way tomorrow & Sunday. Let’s hope we can recoup what we lost. #harborsprings #petoskey #snowphotosWe hit record breaking temperatures this morning with 49 degrees in Pellston. Keweenaw Peninsula Trail Report – 02/24

KEWEENAW PENINSULA UPDATE via Keweenaw Trail Reports….

W🤩W! What a beautiful day it was to ride yesterday! Keweenaw County has received 87 inches of fresh snowfall just in the month of February. TWENTY-SIX + inches of that fell over two days earlier this week! For a grand total of over 267 inches so far for the 2021/22 season!

Nicholas Vliem and crew got out there yesterday and REALLY enjoyed the amazing winter playground on Michigan’s Keweenaw Peninsula! Nicholas, Garett, and Justin did a lot of riding yesterday and took some breaks at Eagle Harbor Inn and Joeys Seafood & Grill, for a couple of excellent meals!

Nicholas said, “Today was one for the books. The deepest it’s ever been! Was PERFECT timing for the new sled. 27" in less than 2 days in the areas we were hitting today…..”

We hope you are all enjoying your trips riding the Keweenaw! Thanks for sharing Nicholas!

WEATHER UPDATE via US National Weather Service Marquette Michigan >> Quieter weather settles in across the U.P. today as lingering snow showers tapering off this morning. A weak clipper system will bring another round of light snow tonight, but only expect another inch or so of accumulation in most locations. KEWEENAW PENINSULA UPDATE via The Trailside Lodge >> Well… Mother Nature heard us complaining about that warm-up and said absolutely NOT. ❄️
Colder temps and snowy powder falling all day long.
Not mad about it. In fact... let’s keep it coming.
The sleds are out there having an absolute blast on the trails. And yeah, we’re pretty sure the customers are having fun too… based on the grins (behind the helmets of course), throttle therapy, and lack of urgency to come back 😎 #keweenaw #snowphotosWell… Mother Nature heard us complaining about that warm-up and said absolutely NOT. ❄️

📸 Pic details for the trail detectives:
This photo was taken right along Trail #17 between Calumet and Houghton, and those good-looking machines are 3 of our Ski-Doo 600 Backcountries E-TEC's.

🏨 Little bonus perk:
Our hotel rooms are located right at the same spot as our rentals.
Ride all day, park your sled right at your door, warm up, relax, and repeat. No trailering. No nonsense.

Colder temps, snowy trails, happy sleds, and zero complaints today.
Who’s ready to ride? ❄️😏

KEWEENAW PENINSULA UPDATE via Western UP Trail Reports >> 10 January 2026
It looks like everyone was out last night working on our trails. Reports are the trails were in pretty bad shape but seemed to groom well despite the snow being like sugar. The fresh snow will help make it more workable tonight.
Get the Groomer Tracker app on your phone so you'll be able to see who's been out laying that ribbon.

WEATHER UPDATE via US National Weather Service Marquette Michigan >> Widespread snow will begin to spread west to east this morning while a heavier snowband looks to set up in the central UP this afternoon. Uncertainty still remains where this snowband will park, however, heavy snowfall rates will likely create difficult travel along US-41 from Delta to Marquette/Alger counties. Tonight, widespread snow transitions to lake effect snow for the north wind snowbelts.
