KEWEENAW PENINSULA UPDATE via Keweenaw Trail Reports – 2/27
Brad Miller had great timing for this trip to Michigan’s Keweenaw Peninsula! You can’t really get much better than receiving 26.5 inches of fresh snow the day before and day of arrival.
Brad shared some photos of his trip and said, “We drove through some pretty sketchy conditions to get here. We arrived Tuesday around 3 pm and it was snowing and blowing like crazy! We had excellent riding conditions! We ate at Eagle Harbor Inn three times….gotta love that lobster pizza. The Mariner North was excellent as always too. We had an excellent meal and service at the Loading Zone ll as well. I had a deep dish pizza from Quincy’s Dining Co Saturday night 🤤🤤🤤.”
Thank you so much for sharing the details of your trip with us Brad! It was SO nice to see you and get a chance to talk for awhile at the club Groomer Barn Fundraiser on Saturday! Thanks for coming out to help support the KSC!

Trails are shaping up pretty good. Last night the crew said trail 3 groomed quite well and I just hit 109. There's definitely less snow down around Alston but still plenty to ride on.

A weak clipper system will bring another round of light snow tonight, but only expect another inch or so of accumulation in most locations. It looks like everyone was out last night working on our trails. Reports are the trails were in pretty bad shape but seemed to groom well despite the snow being like sugar. The fresh snow will help make it more workable tonight.

WEATHER UPDATE via US National Weather Service Marquette Michigan >> Widespread snow will begin to spread west to east this morning while a heavier snowband looks to set up in the central UP this afternoon. Uncertainty still remains where this snowband will park, however, heavy snowfall rates will likely create difficult travel along US-41 from Delta to Marquette/Alger counties. Tonight, widespread snow transitions to lake effect snow for the north wind snowbelts.
