Well it just keeps coming
Were up to 20” official on the ground but seems quite a bit deeper in most spots
The lake froze over last night and the groomers are all out doing their ribbon magic to the trails

THIS is opening day! We haven’t had one quite like this in a long time!

The U.P. Superior Snowmobile Club is already out working the trails within their trail system!

We received another 6.5 inches this morning and it's still snowing at 10:00am. Pretty much white out conditions all morning and it's still very poor visibility.

KEWEENAW PENINSULA UPDATE via Keweenaw Snowmobile Club >> HUGE ANNOUNCEMENT! 📣 For the first time since the 2018 Fathers Day flood, our team was able to open and groom the Freda Loop! There are still some wet spots and many sticks (early season conditions on this trail) but it’s OPEN y’all! Shoutout to the guys from the South Range Snowmobile Club who assisted yesterday in cutting the down trees and getting it prepped for the team to pack in today! Please note the “spur” to Freda is NOT repaired and NOT open or accessible! #keweenaw #snowphotosHUGE ANNOUNCEMENT! 📣 For the first time since the 2018 Fathers Day flood, our team was able to open and groom the Freda Loop! KEWEENAW PENINSULA UPDATE via The Lakeshack >> With 3” of new snow it brings our total to 133.35” for the season and a total current depth here in Twin Lakes to 33”
I can personally say that it seems like quite a bit more deep in the woods seeing some mounds on stumps etc…
It looks like some significant snows will move in again tonight, so keep an eye on the Shackiecam for 24/7 live streaming coverage
