Traverse City Area Trail Report – 01/19
TRAVERSE CITY UPDATE via Grand Traverse Area Snowmobile Club >> 01/19 We received about 6-8+ inches of snow today. Groomer Dirk and Groomer David went out on the South and North routes today. The trails groomed up nice, however, both report heavy drifting in areas. Thanks guys for volunteering your time. We will be grooming the south and west trails tomorrow. Additional showers and embedded thunderstorms are expected tonight into early Saturday. Some of these storms may be strong with locally damaging wind gusts and large hail. He arrived in early December for a few weeks and then left us only to return in January with vengeance. He brought smiles to all our faces as he continued to pile up on our trails. Even though we rode him hard, kicking him out of the corners and moguling him up, he didn't mind. He knew that groomers would bring him back to life. Now, his mother has decided he's had enough fun. She's turning him to water with 50+ degree weather along with thunderstorms. There is always hope that he returns for one last ride, but if he doesn't, we will impatiently wait until next December to see our frosted friend again. #traversecity #snowphotos I put fuel stabilizer in all my sleds today and started them up...just in case. End of March blizzard 😀 come back with a vengeance please. Get past this warm up then a pretty good cool down I hear. Guess we will see. Not done yet!
