The trails are holding steady in fair condition, and grooming is still underway. Some areas may be a bit thin, but there’s still plenty to enjoy. Enjoy the ride and stay safe!

A few things to remember about groomers:
– Groomers are out there to help you have a better riding experience and always have the right of way.
– Please move off the trail when groomers are coming and allow them to safely pass.
– If you approach a groomer from behind, kindly wait for the operator to signal you to pass.
– Grooming can take place at any time during the day or night.
– Have fun and stay safe!

It’s a sunny 27 degree friday morning. Supposed to be in the 30s today but then cool down. I have seen several sleds out and about this morning. Yesterday there were the most people that have been in here in a while so I think people are going to be coming to ride regardless of the thin snow. Its supposed to cool down alot for about 5 days so maybe we will get some snow along with the cold. For those of you that like to go to Spikes Keg O Nails that is downtown Graylin on the business loop. There is construction going on which keeps you from riding your sled to Spikes to eat. There are a couple of plowed areas at the Crawford County court house that you can park your sled at and walk down Michigan Ave to the business loop and then over to Spikes. I took some pics down there this morning to help you see how to get there. The parking is right next to the sled trail by the RR tracks. Its a short walk to get a yummy Spike Burger. WEATHER UPDATE via US National Weather Service Gaylord Michigan >> After a few light snow showers pass across eastern upper overnight, weather turns pretty mild and quiet this Monday. GAYLORD AREA UPDATE via Town Hall Snowmobile Club Paradise MI >> A little down state riding in Gaylord, Fredrick and Wolverine. Snow started Saturday around 2. We have at least 6-8”. Trails are decent. A little rougher from the melt but more the enough snow to cool a 2” Assault! #gaylord #snowphotos
WEATHER UPDATE via US National Weather Service Gaylord Michigan >> Snow will diminish this morning, ending by early afternoon. Some parts in northeast lower and far eastern upper Michigan may break out into partial sunshine this afternoon. However, north-northwest to northwest winds today will remain brisk. Gusts to around 30 mph will be common. That will produce areas of blowing and drifting snow today, especially in places that are more open and exposed. #miweather #gaylord #cadillac #benzie #traversecity #petoskeySnow will diminish this morning, ending by early afternoon. No new snow and its icy and mostly dry but my lake is emerging in the back parking lot. My nieghbors were just here and they are going to try to ride to the bridge. I told them to send me a picture, we will see how that works out. There is a prediction of 1 to 4 inches for today but I do not think that will help much. I have a piece of property that I keep plowed out and that was all down to dirt this morning. The wait is on again... #gaylord

No big changes for the UP, although a bit more snow is now forecast for the Keweenaw and central UP.
