HARBOR SPRINGS AREA UPDATE via Harbor Springs Snowmobile Club – 01/19
We had a great turnout for the 60th Annual Moose Jaw Safari! We had roughly 160 sleds leave from the groomer barn & picked up multiple groups along the way. Thank you to this years trail boss Rob Parson for leading the way!
The trails are getting thin in some areas but are still rideable, the forecast is showing 8” between today & Wednesday! Almost all of our trails were groomed between yesterday morning & last night. We will be out on the grade tonight running Pellston to Alanson, there’s not enough snow to go any further north.

WEATHER UPDATE via Pictured Rocks Marine Weather Conditions >> OK, here's the latest! Shown below is the expected 24-hour snowfall accumulation from 7pm today through 7pm Friday, along with the 24-hour snowfall from 7am Saturday through 7am Sunday. The 12-hour "gap" in between those two periods is the lull between the two waves of snow, when not much is expected to happen. And the snowmelt from the warm spell today should largely have ceased by then. More snow is also expected after 7am on Sunday and even into Monday, but it's a bit too early to call the snow amounts for that time period. We are sitting right around 13” in Stutsmanville, a 3” loss since Monday night. We are currently riding the winter rollercoaster, there is rain on the way for Thursday night into Friday morning and then a potential snow storm for Saturday.
We are hoping the temps will be cold enough so we can get out and groom Friday night.
