Frederic / Gaylord Area Trail Report – Sledheads of Frederic – 01/03

Conditions are still holding on but my guess is that things are becoming worn unless you are off trail. Sled traffic was pretty steady all day Wednesday and I checked Ramada this morn with 6 trailers there and none next door at Days Inn. So they are starting to come. So far we have been lucky with no warm up so who knows if it will last thru the weekend. Only time will tell.

I hate to ask this but please try to hold the messages and phone calls about trail conditions. I post everyday right here what is happening and then people call or write to ask me the same things thinking I am going to say something different. Those all take up a lot of time to individually answer so please know that you can rely what I write here.

Sled death number 2 has happened up by Millersburg, 35 year old from downstate. Another senseless death. I have watched death statistics for a long long time and almost every instance is speed so please remember that. Pics below are a couple cats that were out here yesterday and the other was in town this morning at Walgreens and I wondered if they guy got thrown off when he landed that in the back of his truck. Looked like a hard hit to me. Thanks for checking in. Pete

Traverse City Trail Report – Blue Sky Snowmobile Rentals – 01/03

January 3

What happens when you rent from Blue Sky! You love it and come back with all of your friends! Welcome back to this group of 16 going out to enjoy Northern Michigan’s Woods! Trails have been panned and the groomers say they are not to bad right now. We are looking at mild weekend temps so hopefully the weatherman is wrong and we can get into the weekend with the base we have. I would rate the trails good for the most part and fair in spots.

We are open! Today is the first day of winter for Blue Sky!

We were blessed with 8-10 inches of good heavy snow on New Years Eve. The groomer drivers were out grooming the east trail last night and are supposed to do the remaining part of the trial today and tomorrow. We expect to get 2-4 inches today as well.

Hopefully the mild temps this weekend won’t harm the base too much.

We do have availability so give us a call to get out and ride! 231-633-2583 – www.bluesky-Tvc.com
