Frederic / Gaylord Area Trail Report – Sledheads of Frederic – 01/23

This is what we have been waiting for. It’s 6″45 a.m. at Lake Margrethe this morning, The fresh snow on the ground didn’t get any deeper overnight but we had about 2 to 3 new inches of packy snow.

The weatherman says the majority of the new stuff is coming by this afternoon. I am getting ready to head out to plow right now so I just thought I would post something quickly. I will post some pics and another update this afternoon about 2 or 3 to see if the snow really hits us like they say it is going to.

Last night I listened to a radio show on Super Sled Online with an interview with Dave Dunigan and the old days of MSDRA. For those of you that were around for the hay day of ice and grass drag racing that show brought back many memories. I traveled the circuit with those guys and we had a great time everywhere we went. I know there are many of you out there reading this like Bif Steele who was mentioned many times last night.

Chris Riley did a great job producing that show and I was glad to hear him bring up the topic of “Snowmobile Saftey. At least 4 riders killed over this past weekend and everyone of them involved speed. Slow Down Everyone, we all love the sport but its only a split second and you can be DEAD……Please Ride Safely. Thanks for checking in. Pete
