Groomer Tim shared these pictures from earlier today. He was heading west from Trout Creek. He’s groomed everything once, and is on his way back down Military Hill. Trails are actually looking pretty good – other than road crossings.
<>
The temps have dropped here and the rain has turned to snow.
We will be grooming tonight and will have a better idea on trail conditions a little later.
We are hearing that road crossings are really bare, but snow in covered areas (the woods) made it through the rain and warmer temps.

ONTONAGON AREA UPDATE via Hamilton's North Coast Adventures >> Riding across the Ontonagon River bridge on trail 12 is a sight to behold! You soar 80 feet above the river on a dedicated section for motorized vehicles to use, how awesome is that?! It's one of the tightest groomer sections we have that provides very little margin for error. It's also a great view of Lake Superior, the Trapp hills to the south, and really lets you know how pro-snowmobile Ontonagon is. It's a tremendous destination full of amazing eateries like Up north cafe (best pancakes on planet earth), Syl's Restaurant, GiGi's Coffee and Sandwiches, Connie's Coffee and Subs, and of course the famous Roxey's Bar and Grill! What's your favorite stop for food in Ontonagon? #ontonagon #westernup#snowphotos... See MoreSee Less
LAKE GOGEBIC AREA UPDATE via Gogebic Area Grooming >> Bergland Area Groomer's report for 1-30-26. Temp's remain cold with light snow seems like daily. Our operator that went up 102 last night had reported very poor visibility but once you get up in the hills, that's pretty much been a common theme this season. Trail's covered last night/this morning. 102, 8w, 8e and 13s. Trail's are in good to great shape! Get out and Enjoy... Gogebic Area Grooming ❄️❄️❄️ #lakegogebic#westernup#snowphotos... Well here’s my speech for the day since everyone keeps asking Yeah it got warm for a couple days
Yes it rained over night
The snow isn’t all gone
I don’t have time to ride the trails so I can’t answer how they are
We had a hell of a base this way and good snow before this Here’s 2 pictures one from Sunday and one from today I don’t see a huge difference after the rain out front. It’s going to be like riding in mid March. Towns are probably bad. Things are probably better up this way
It’s going to cool down tonight and this stuff will be hard. If it’s cold Groomers will go out
If you like banging a couple hundred miles a day or more you probably won’t like it
If you want to go pick around and explore you will probably be ok All I can show is these two pictures and you can be the judge. It’s not the trail but it will show how much we lost in general We have parking out back for those who want to go riding and avoid town
If everyone gets scared and don’t come I’ll take advantage of it and go for a ride 🙂
I just told a guy worse case there are many things you could do if you don’t like the sledding. I can recommend some nice places and businesses to Visit if you come up this weekend 🙂 <>
NEWBERRY AREA UPDATE via TASA – 2/15
Due to the warm temps and rain we will not be out grooming until further notice. We did not loose all of our snow and temps are suppose to fall all day and through tomorrow. If you would like to come up and ride then we suggest trailering north. Be cautious if you do ride as water holes may opened backup and other hazards could be exposed from melting snow. Plowed dirt roads are ice covered and very slick. As soon as we have more details on trial conditions we will let everyone know. In the mean time start dancing.

PARADISE AREA UPDATE via Paradise Area Night Riders www.paradiseareanightriders.org >> 1/30/26 Minus 5 degrees this morning under a cloudy sky. No new snow in the last 24 hrs. but we do have about 3 feet of snow on the ground so no worries...LOL. Here`s whats been happening since my last report a couple days ago...... No bad news...the machines have been running beautifully....Mother Nature has been cooperating perfectly....and our trails are EXCELLENT!!!! The Falls trail #45, the Point trails #452 & #453 and the South trail #8 all fall into that catagory. The only blip on the radar is on the Pine Stump trails #8 & #9 but it is only minor. Our section of trail #9 is still being plowed down from the Stump to the East branch of the Two Heart by the loggers. It is no big deal, just take trail #8 around instead of #9, just like the old days. Its a touch longer but you`re out there to enjoy the ride.....right? On the bright side, they are done up by Crisp Point but it will take us a couple trips to get that back in great shape. Where is everybody?? Its been awful slow around here. COME ON U.P., You are missing out!! LET `ER SNOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Groomer Chris #paradise #newberry ... See MoreSee Less
