Since Friday morning we’ve received at least 3 feet of snow and the high winds have created some unbelievable drifting. In some areas, drifts have reached well over 7 feet tall. Cold temperatures filter in to northern Michigan behind the major winter storm. Consequently, for those without power, dangerously cold temperatures are expected this afternoon through Tuesday night. #miweather #gaylord #cadillac #benzie #traversecity #petoskey 
A snowmobiler had to be rescued in blizzard conditions Sunday off the west shore of Mackinac Island. Mackinac Island firefighters set out on the ice to attempt a rescue in whiteout conditions. They were able to hand off the rescue to the USCG Cutter Mackinac. The Coast Guard says the person was brought aboard, received medical care, and is in stable condition.
