ONTONAGON AREA UPDATE via NORTH COUNTRY SNOWMOBILE CLUB – 03/02
6-12" has come down. Kurtis with the all-nighter report here! Lots and lots of fresh snow, come Ride! There’s a race we are hosting Saturday at the Ontonagon groomer shop by M64 travel center. Ride in and show some love to our volunteers!!

WATERSMEET - WESTERN U.P. UPDATE via U.P. Thunder Riders Snowmobile Club >> TRAIL REPORT- 1/29/27 Riders and Groomers are reporting excellent conditions throughout are trail system. Groomer Gary is out grooming the west run which is trail 2 and 13s. Groomer Jeff is grooming trail 3 Land o Lakes to Bonds Falls and trail 2 east. WEATHER UPDATE via US National Weather Service Marquette Michigan >> Expect lake effect snow showers today in the north to northwest wind snowbelts. Temperatures will start out cold with wind chills below -20F in the far eastern U.P. Frostbite can occur in as little as 30 minutes on exposed skin in these conditions. Very few sleds are available the first two weeks in February! End of the month and March are wide open. We look forward to a late riding season, so get your self together and head for da North Coast! Please ride the West side before the highway cross over with caution as the recovery equipment left some snow piles and rough trail areas. There are logging operations happening about two miles west of Kenton, use caution.
We are grooming our regular schedule, every day.
The trails are excellent.
Please ride on the RIGHT side of the trail and STOP at the stop signs!
Stay on the trail, if you don’t we could lose trail permissions on private property.
Groomers have the right of way on the trails, pull over and stop to let them safely pass!
We have Groomer Tracker installed in our groomers.
We groom every day that the weather conditions and equipment allow. Unforeseen circumstances may prevent us from going out, like a major blizzard and being snowed in at our homes or equipment breakdowns. #westernup
