NEWBERRY AREA UPDATE via Pine Stump – 3/02 A little dust last night! <> <> NEWBERRY AREA UPDATE via TASA – 3/02 March 2, 2023 We groomed north to holland lake, and cut river last night. We plan to groom to trout lake, noter to trail 431 and the falls tonight. We are down one groomer, currently waiting for parts that are hopefully going to be here today. It is currently 25 degrees and cloudy, it snowed about an inch last night. In other news we are raffling off a a 2023 Polaris Sportsman 450 Donated by Renze Power Sports. Tickets can be purchased from: Renze Power Sports, Halfway Lake Cottages, North Store Follow Me Outfitters, Pine Stump Restaurant, Schubach Farms Cabin Rentals, or Proceeds will go to fund trail grooming equipment! Good Luck! Trail 9: Groomed to holland lake and back. Reported as very good. Logging be operations are finished and county roads 415 and 422 are now being groomed but snow is still a bit thin. very good. Trail 498: Groomed last night. Very Good. Trail 45: Did not Groom to the falls last night, because of mechanical issues with groomer. very Good. There is logging on the trail shortly after you jump on Trail 45 just past the Logging museum off of M-123. There is also be logging about 3 miles North of Skyline Road off to the right. Please use extreme caution in these areas! Both portions are being plowed and could be bumpy or rutted. Very Good in spots Trial 9/2: Groomed last night to cut river. Conditions being reported as very good. Thank you to all the team at the groomers barn who puts in countless hours to keep the system groomed and maintenance on the machines! 9 degrees this morning and snowing. I picked up 5-6" of fresh snow on my deck from last night and it looks like its supposed to snow for the next couple of days too!!!
Our entire system was groomed yesterday and there`s only one way to describe it......EXCELLENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now, those of you who follow me know I don`t use that word very often, but I ain`t kiddin, it doesn`t get any better than this. The swamp south of town, the Falls trail, ALL of our low land trails are better than I`ve seen in a long time!!!!!
If you don`t have plans on gettin U.P. here.....make `em. It won`t last forever.
