IRONWOOD / WESTERN U.P. UPDATE via Gogebic Range Trail Authority - ORV & Snowmobile Club - Jerry our VP/Trail boss made the decision, which was a rather easy one, to not groom tonight. Until then, do the #heikkilunta and send them snowy vibes our way! #sendsnow #Please

Carful coming down the backside of the mountain on your way to trail 3 in WI. Trails are patchy with lots of areas of exposed dirt and grass. If you’re going to ride, hit the peak then turn around and come back down the Michigan side. Don’t continue the loop.

Unless there’s a huge turnaround, this winter could be the last straw for me. Sell all but one of my five machines and just fully switch everything to dirt toys. I have way too much time and money wrapped up into these flipping sleds to get 4 to 6 weeks a year out of them. I try not to get pissed about things that are out of my control but what a joke.

Grooming schedule remains very conservative (the more we groom, the more we alter the snow making it less prone to holding a pack) but we did groom 160 Tuesday night into Wednesday morning. With fresh snow we will likely groom all Friday night. Live trail report coming soon. Pictured is Bald Mountain South vista on snowmobile trail 160. ... See MoreSee Less

Carful coming down the backside of the mountain on your way to trail 3 in WI. Trails are patchy with lots of areas of exposed dirt and grass. If you’re going to ride, hit the peak then turn around and come back down the Michigan side. Don’t continue the loop.

WEATHER UPDATE via US National Weather Service Marquette Michigan - Unfortunately for snow-lovers, forecast snow amounts for this week's storm are trending down. Light snow is still expected to move in from the south late tonight and continue Friday, but it will be light and intermittent with only minimal accumulations expected. Additional lake-effect snow is likely in the north wind snow belts – particularly the higher elevations of Marquette County – Saturday and Saturday night... #MIWeather #westernup #keweenaw #Marquette #munising #newberryUnfortunately for snow-lovers, forecast snow amounts for this week's storm are trending down.
