Good morning all!
We’re still out there doing what we can!
Just in from Warren on the Mission Hill run- 8 from Ranger Rd to 889 (the Mission Hill Loop) and to Bay Mills Resort & Casino.
Looking great for spring conditions!
Road sides, crossings, parking lots, etc are bare so please plan accordingly. Still lots of snow in the woods!
I see very little snow in the forecast but the temps look good so any snow we get will be a bonus.

Hello again!
I just heard from Dave after his early morning run on the city trails before temps start to climb.
Here’s his report-
“Groomed the City trail this morning. Temperature ranged from 18-21 degrees while I was out. There are spots of dirt starting to show. There are puddles forming in the afternoons, that are freezing up at night. So there are icy spots. All the road crossings are bare. And all the snow surrounding them is full of dirt. All curbs are fully exposed. There are still long stretches of white but it’s tougher getting to them. A nice white bunny posed for several minutes for a photo op. I wish I had a more positive report but I have to report what I see. Conditions are worsening every day with temperatures above freezing every day now.”
Thank you Dave! All we can do is share what we are seeing and continue to do what we can until it doesn’t make sense to do it anymore.
Even just a few inches of snow will prolong the season. Snow dance for late season riding!❄️❄️❄️

Good morning! Bryan and his son Logan hit the city trails last night and also 49 down to 7 mile and they turned out great! The little streams behind Kewadin Casino are still flowing (see the video in the comments) even with all of the cold, but our bridges have made a huge difference in there! There is one spot along the Kewadin trail that is soft and we keep filling it in as best we can. Likely a nonissue for the weight of a sled, but worth mentioning.

Good evening! Brimley Bill brought the Pisten Bully in to the Soo barn from Raco via trail 8 and groomed along the way. After 6”+ of new snow yesterday, the berms at the road crossings needed to be cleared.
He did a great job and the trail is flat, wide, and beautiful tonight!
The Bully is in for a thaw and an oil change and it’ll be back out to Raco tomorrow night.

Lane was out on 49 from Kinross north to 8 mile tonight. We’ve changed this route some, and our Kinross crew is running north to 8 mile, and the Soo crew is running south to 8 mile.
