SAULT STE. MARIE UPDATE via Sault Ste. Marie Snowmobile Association – 03/13
Good evening!
Pete and Sandi ran the city trails tonight and the pictures tell the story. Definitely tricky to get to the good parts but still some very decent spots.
Here’s what he had to say-
“Groomed the city tonight. There are great spots, and there are very bad spots. The very bad spots are anything near a road crossing or actually on a road. Down to pure gravel and mud on roads. From Ashmun Bay trailhead to South Street is good. From south street to the 8/49 “T” is pure mud. From the “T” to the tunnel is fair/poor. From the Tunnel to the business spur is good. Business spur to 3 mile is fair. 129 to Seymour is good. Seymour to the casino is decent, but icy. 1 of the 3 holes behind Kewadin with hay filling is ok, the other two are starting to melt away but still very rideable. Hoping to see a big snow storm at the end of the week! And Mrs. Groomer Pete accompanied in case it’s the last groom of the season!”
Thanks guys!
We sure hope Mother Nature has one last blast of snow for us ahead of the weekend🤞❄️ 🍀
SAULT STE. MARIE AREA UPDATE via Sault Ste. Marie Snowmobile Association >> 1/21/26 Good morning! Bryan and his son Logan hit the city trails last night and also 49 down to 7 mile and they turned out great! The little streams behind Kewadin Casino are still flowing (see the video in the comments) even with all of the cold, but our bridges have made a huge difference in there! There is one spot along the Kewadin trail that is soft and we keep filling it in as best we can. Likely a nonissue for the weight of a sled, but worth mentioning. Thank you Bryan and Logan!!❄️❄️❄️ #soo #soo0121b#snowphotos... See MoreSee Less

Brimley Bill brought the Pisten Bully in to the Soo barn from Raco via trail 8 and groomed along the way. After 6”+ of new snow yesterday, the berms at the road crossings needed to be cleared. He did a great job and the trail is flat, wide, and beautiful tonight! The Bully is in for a thaw and an oil change and it’ll be back out to Raco tomorrow night. Thanks Bill! ❄️❄️❄️ #soo #soo0120b#snowphotos... See MoreSee Less
