Lake Gogebic Trail Report – 12/23

LAKE GOGEBIC AREA UPDATE via Gogebic Area Grooming – The groomer that had a blown hose is back in the barn. Groomed 102 North yesterday with drag, up to North Boundary road. Still some wet spots. (The picture of the groomer and bridge is the bridge we redecked a week ago, fyi).
Trail 8 west of M64 are still wet and have not had a groomer. Trail 102 north is finished and has been packed yesterday. You will have to take the lake north to Bergland as trail 1 north of West Shore is closed because of logging with a few more night of freezing temps should help the lake make sure you check. The Keweenaw has more snow as they have been receiving west wind which brings them more snow

LAKE GOGEBIC AREA UPDATE via Gogebic Area Grooming >> Bergland Area Groomer's update for this early Tuesday morning for 1-5-26..
102, 13 north of M28, 1n and 8w we're all groomed tonight.
We anticipate getting a full crew in tonight (Tuesday evening) to have our entire system covered.
The weather forecast is calling for a brief warmup but it won't impact the trail's, however it will loosen up snow and create bumps and again we'll have to play catch up to stay ahead.

LAKE GOGEBIC AREA UPDATE via Gogebic Area Grooming >> Good Evening everyone. Bergland Area Groomer's report for 1-4-26.
Machine's are running day and night. We've been doing everything possible to keep up with traffic.
Your etiquette coming across a freshly groomed trail count's!
8e was covered this morning and currently the Groomer's are on 102, 13s 1n and 8e again. We'll begin to Access 8w to Wakefield towards the end of the week to see if we're are able to open those sections up.
Traffic has seemed to calm a bit which will allow us to perfect what we've established.
We had a burst of snow this evening. Then sleet and now back to light snow.
