Munising Area Trail Report – 01/03
MUNISING AREA UPDATE via TNT Trenary Northern Trails >> 01/03 With a whole lot of luck and a few “very interesting” moments. We were able to get the 2 spots that we avoided previously, all set and taken care of. Trail 8 was set up well and should make for great riding into the week. We were also able to widen the trail in some areas that were drifted heavily. Also, after grooming was completed in Chatham last night, a group of riders took it upon themselves to trespass onto private property adjacent to the trail. Just plain stupid when I could follow the tracks back to their rental. I messaged the place just to find out they left this morning. Not only is this reckless behavior absurdly stupid, it makes it hard for us to get permissions for more trails after people hear the horror stories of these blatant acts of idiocy. We still have a couple areas where heavy drifting has the trail a little narrow untill the Temps warm a little and the snow firms up enough to widen it without sinking to the bottom. For the most part things are shaping up well and conditions are good for laying down a nice smooth trail.
