GRAND MARAIS UPDATE – 01/19
Tonight starts our second round of grooming with the new snow. South has been groomed. All trails will be regroomed by morning.

Just in from groomer Jeremy:
The south trail is all done. Corners and curves were in pretty bad shape, but I cut them down as best I could and now much better. Lots of blade work to get rid of the moguls, but again the trail is now in fine riding shape.

WEATHER UPDATE via US National Weather Service Marquette Michigan >> Expect lake effect snow showers today in the north to northwest wind snowbelts. Temperatures will start out cold with wind chills below -20F in the far eastern U.P. Frostbite can occur in as little as 30 minutes on exposed skin in these conditions. 9 degrees this morning and snowing. I picked up 5-6" of fresh snow on my deck from last night and it looks like its supposed to snow for the next couple of days too!!!
Our entire system was groomed yesterday and there`s only one way to describe it......EXCELLENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now, those of you who follow me know I don`t use that word very often, but I ain`t kiddin, it doesn`t get any better than this. The swamp south of town, the Falls trail, ALL of our low land trails are better than I`ve seen in a long time!!!!!
If you don`t have plans on gettin U.P. here.....make `em. It won`t last forever.
Thats all I have to report.....one word.....EXCELLENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
